Dillard’s sells clothing, beauty, and home products across its department stores and online platform. Among its suppliers is Delta Galil Industries, whose factories are located in illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank. This means goods on Dillard’s shelves are linked to production systems that exploit Palestinian labour and resources under military control. Everyday consumer purchases in Dillard’s stores are therefore financially entangled with Israel’s occupation economy.
Dillard’s is rated High Impact because of its sourcing ties to Delta Galil, a central player in Israel’s settlement economy. Delta Galil’s operations rely on land seized from Palestinians, diverted water resources, and labour systems shaped by military coercion. By maintaining commercial partnerships with Delta Galil, Dillard’s provides revenue and legitimacy to one of the key engines of settler-colonial expansion.
Unlike abstract financial links, this harm is material: clothing produced in settlements is sold directly to consumers, laundering occupation goods into global markets. Boycotting Dillard’s not only challenges a U.S. retailer with a documented record of weak labour accountability, it also disrupts the flow of money sustaining Israel’s apartheid economy.
Choose local when you can. When you can’t, look for an alternative brand that aligns with your values and your taste.
