Analysts and housing advocates point to Airbnb’s role in inflating rents, displacing residents, and straining city infrastructure.

Beyond its housing impact, Airbnb profits directly from illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. Despite briefly removing these listings in 2018 under public pressure, the company reinstated them and continues to generate revenue from properties built on occupied Palestinian land.
