The Walt Disney Company
This company’s brands:
The Walt Disney Company is a global entertainment powerhouse operating Disney+ streaming services, theme parks, studios, and media networks across more than 100 countries. The company has been officially added to the BDS priority boycott list due to its financial and political alignment with Israel, most notably a public donation of $2 million to Israeli humanitarian organizations in the wake of the October 7 attacks. Disney donated $1 million to Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency medical response service, and an additional $1 million to other relief groups focused on Israeli civilians. No comparable support was extended to Palestinian civilians suffering under siege in Gaza.
Disney’s CEO also issued a formal statement of solidarity with Israel, with no mention of Palestinian victims. This donation and messaging underline the company’s political complicity and disregard for Palestinian suffering, reinforcing its role in normalizing apartheid narratives. Disney+ also continues distributing content that valorizes militarization and occupation, including partnerships with Israeli military-affiliated producers and filming within occupied territories.
