Coty Inc. is a global beauty conglomerate with a portfolio spanning more than 70 cosmetic, fragrance, and personal care brands, including CoverGirl, Rimmel, and Calvin Klein Fragrances. The company is majority-owned by JAB Holding, the investment vehicle of the Reimann family, whose wealth was built through Nazi-era forced labour, abuse of workers, and ideological alignment with Hitler’s racial policies.

Today, JAB’s profits flow into the Alfred Landecker Foundation, which funds pro-Israel institutions such as Hillel International and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. This structure makes Coty a strategically significant boycott target: consumer spending across its brands consolidates financial power in a holding company that materially sustains Israeli apartheid and occupation.

Coty also exemplifies broader harms in the beauty industry: licensing and sales in Israel, animal testing where legally mandated, weak labour protections in global supply chains, and credibility gaps in sustainability commitments. At scale, Coty operates less as a single beauty house and more as an infrastructure of extraction and branding that channels wealth into politically aligned elite networks.
